It's ironic, but true.
The world of science advances when we find absurd ideas to be true. Several ideas we now call 'common sense' were absurd when they were first proposed.
They were fought and opposed by the experts of those days. Until they were proven to be true. And even then.
I once read that if we traveled 500 years into the past, and gathered the most intelligent people in the world into a room, and spoke with them, over 80 percent of what they knew would be wrong today.
That's humbling and makes me wonder the things we think are right. Things that will be discovered to be wrong in 500 years when I and everyone who receives this newsletter will be long gone.
So, what do we do?
Pitch your tents to attract absurdities. Sit with them. It's fine to trash them thereafter. But you may be surprised at the treasures that hide on the borders of 'normal'.
