Before you say 'yes'

To that next gig. To the seemingly harmless request for a meet. To coffee. To that project someone thought it would be great to have you onboard.

Before you say yes to any, or all. Be sure to ask yourself why it matters. Do you need it? Do you want it? What are the hidden costs? Will you be glad you said yes if you checked the consequence 10 years from now?

Sometimes, ‘No’ is a precious gift. No is a complete sentence. Not every request deserves your ‘Yes’.
