Raised by peers
It’s likely your kids will be raised by their peers.
What they get to believe is important. What they end up desiring. What they want to buy. What to aspire to. And who they choose to become.

They get to adapt to the world they live in, not the world you, the parent, lived in.
On the flip side, they also get the chance to raise their peers. They get to share what they believe, to do interesting thing, to grow deep roots and follow their curiosity.
They only stop doing this when the reward for conformity outweighs the joy of being different.
The pendulum swings in both direction. The values they’ve imbibed and the roots they’ve grown influence where the scales rest at the end of the day.
