I remember the first time someone copied my work online - almost word for word. It was several years ago. They swapped my name and other personal identifiers with theirs. It didn’t sit well at first. I evolved to see it as a ‘not bad’ thing.
When you pioneer a way of doing something or saying something, it attracts people who may want to do the same thing. Most times, that’s a good thing. It shows resonance.
Embrace when this happens. Actually, encourage it.
If it happens within your organisation, it is bound to bring more alignment in style with other people. If it happens outside your organisation, you may as well find a way to build it into a system and make it easier for other organisations to adopt.
You’ve done well by creating something a lot of people want. Release it and let it have a life of its own.
