Give others an escape path

Always give people a path to go beyond the differences you share and move forward.

People have strongly held beliefs and assertions. We all do. Most disagreements and conflicts are based on the clash of those beliefs.

Some are opposing beliefs. Others, interestingly, are complimentary.

Let go of the narcissism of small differences and embrace the bigger picture - the things that unite you. Focus on the greater decisions and remove the need for perfect agreements.

Others don't have to agree with you on everything. And that's fine. It gives you both the chance to reflect on your assertions and if you choose, change your minds.
