Inspiration is overrated
Just show up daily, and do the work as best as you can because that’s what you are meant to do.
Not because you are waiting for a muse. Not because you follow an inspiration. But because you care, and your best and consistent work, your service, is proof of that care.
Doing the work without waiting for a grand inspiration is evidence of what you are capable of.
Learning from your best work and improving it daily delivers better results than creating only when inspired.
In several instances more than I can count, I’ve heard people ask someone outstanding how they found inspiration to do what they did. As lovely as that question may be, it misses the point.
Consistency chews inspiration for breakfast.
