Waiting for karma
It’s been said that ‘most good deeds get rewarded.’
But believing this creates a problem. It makes you long for positive karma.
Instead, when you give, don’t remember. When you receive, don’t forget.
It’s better when your good deeds are done with the assumption that they won’t be remembered. And they won’t be rewarded - not by the recipient, not by anyone else.
The best reward is to not need a reward.
