Learn from therapists
Therapists are one of the best people who have learnt the art of asking questions.
The most important lesson I’ve learnt from therapists is that they listen. They devote a hundred percent of their attention to you.
They understand you before attempting to change your mind.
They don't judge you - at least not when you have their attention.
Rather, they try to see the world from your point of view, and when the need arises, they nudge you towards change.
You don't need to get trained in psychotherapy to master these skills. Especially when dealing with other people.
You can try this today. And then, tomorrow.
