Feel at home
It feels different.
Feeling welcome and feeling at home.
Most of those who interact with you and what you create will feel welcome.
Doing this alone is revolutionary.
It shows how deeply you’ve chosen to care and show up for those you've committed to.
But we can take it a step further.
Help them feel at home.
When we feel at home, we welcome the conflict because it makes us better.
We take responsibility. We learn.1 We share from our depths.
When we feel at home, we let go of the masks we own, and the need to hide behind one.
At home, we don't just feel welcome. We belong.
The least we can do is to make the people we care about feel welcome. But we can always go beyond that and make them feel at home.
We belong at home.
I love it when conversations with the people I love help me find clarity on issues like these.
