Write your own obituary
A 15-year-old recently asked a 93-year-old about how to live a good life.1
You should write your obituary and try to live up to it.
Take a pause and sit down.
Spend a full day writing down your own obituary.
Include everything you would wish it to say.
Reverse engineer it from there and try to live up to it.
It’s simple - in theory.

This conversation was at the 2023 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting. You now know who the 93-year-old is, don't you?
